The United Home Owners has been serving the Evergreen Park community for over fifty years. Founded in 1959 with the express purpose of bringing honest, efficient government to the Village; it is an organization that gives back to the very community that it serves. The UHO organization helps various charities, churches, local sporting teams, non-profit organizations, the Evergreen Park Food Pantry and local benefits held throughhout the year.

The Village of Evergreen Park is known as a "Village of Churches." Named after former Mayor Anthony Vacco, the Village administration building is in the heart of Evergreen Park, just steps from the 95th and Kedzie streets intersection. Offices housed in the Administration Building include the Village Building Department, Police Department, Mayor's Office and Clerk's Office.

In 2007 the 1st Christian Reform Church was designated as the Evergreen Park Senior Center. Since its designation, the Senior Center is not only headquarters for the Offices of Citizen Services but is a multi-use facility housing the Evergreen Park Historical Museum and Evergreen Park Dinner Theater.
One of the village's larger parks, Yukich Field is located right next to the Village of Evergreen Park Fire Department. This sporting area has athletic fields, a walking track, ponds, an ice rink, two concession stands and restrooms. It is also home to the annual Hot Rod Classic and Farmer’s Market.
